Research Activity

Constant-2 LLC is an engineering company that, based on knowledge about the behavior of plastics and the science of sealing, offers technical and design solutions to problems related to the manufacture of sealing assemblies, and based on knowledge about the corrosion resistance of materials used in a particular design, designs and performs anti-corrosion protection.

The engineering and technical staff of Constant-2 LLC (the company employs a doctor of technical sciences and 4 candidates of technical sciences) conducts constant research work. New composite materials based on fluoroplast, polyesteresterketone, and polyphenylene sulfide have been developed under the brand name "Constaftor"®.

Constant-2 LLC has developed a technology for manufacturing precision-sized parts from fluoroplast and composite materials without mechanical processing, which eliminates the formation of waste in the production of products.

Protected by RF patent No.2308372 "Method for obtaining a rubber-fluoroplastic combined seal". Constant-2 LLC is the only manufacturer of these products in Russia using the original technology.

Designs of disc shut-off valves and ball valves in a polymer composite housing, which uses patented components, have been developed.

Work is constantly underway to find new solutions in seal designs, to replace imported sealing products with domestic analogues or to improve the performance properties of well-known and widely used sealing products.

Structural materials are being developed to replace metal (steel, aluminum, bronze) elements in the structures of shut-off valves, hydraulic and pneumatic devices, pumps, valves, bearing assemblies.

Together with the Department of Elastomers of Volgograd State Technical University, new materials for corrosion protection of technological equipment are being developed. For these purposes, a stand was organized in 1996, where the resistance to aggressive environments of both already known anticorrosive materials and newly appearing on the market is studied. The results of these studies were reported at scientific and technical conferences "New materials and technologies of corrosion protection 1996-2000" and at scientific and practical conferences "Raw materials and materials for the rubber industry 2000 and 2001".

A lot of work is being done on import substitution in the oil and gas industry, at oil refining enterprises.

The results of scientific research are published in journals.
